Given the myriad of legislation that all South African institutions are subject to, customised policies to fit the specific nature of the organisation are vitally important. This encompasses a wide spectrum, from conceptualisation of the policy, to the design of systems to enable adherence thereto, to ongoing and regular review to ensure compliance with statutory amendments. We offer a full range of services including: writing policies to cover the specific needs of the organisation, whether it be non-profit or for profit; designing and assisting with the implementation of systems to seamlessly integrate the requirements of the policy into the organisation; review of policies periodically to ensure that they remain pertinent to the prevailing legal and societal norms.

An initial audit of the policies currently in place in an organisation will give an overview of which areas are not covered or not covered adequately, and enable us to produce a list of policies that are needed to cover the legal and operational scope of the entity.

Not only should the published policies of an organisation set out its rules, they should also contain detailed procedures for the implementation of those rules. This is also part of the process of the design of policy.

The effectiveness of the policies and procedures implemented has to be assessed according to the results evidenced in the actual running of the organisation on a day to day basis.

Due to the dynamic nature of the legal, social and economic climate, it is important that policies are reviewed at least every two years. This review can be undertaken internally or we can assist in this regard.
